We started the day at the Belvedere Palace, and what an amazing place it was! It was described to us that it was built for some random prince back in the day. Well, if this was a random prince then I will start calling myself Prince Drew and dream I could have this Castle. The elegance of the gardens, the four tier water fountains, and the perfect grooming of the landscape was something of a dream. I will let the pictures tell you the rest of this story.
The best part of Gabriel having to attend the conference was that they offered to pay for me a bus tour around the city, which I loved. I really got to hear the stories behind the buildings I had been walking by and taking a million pictures of, and it really made this day great for the chance to explore on my own.
Now to one of our favorite moments of the trip. We spent the evening on the Danube river with Gabi and Gustavo, deciding earlier that we would have a nice picnic enjoying lots of bread, cheese, beer, and wine for our last night with this amazing couple and longtime friends. Jumping in the crystal clear river and swimming a bit only made this night so much more perfect then it already was. Gabi and Gustavo have a huge place in our hearts and forever will. We wish them safe travels for the rest of their bike tour and can’t wait to see them in Brazil for Christmas… It is never a ‘good bye’, always ‘see you soon’. Beijos e boa viagem, amados amigos!!
I can see you and Biel living in Europe…
Would be great!
